Your questions

Do you make home visits?

Yes. JF Bastok visits by appointment in Waterloo, throughout Walloon Brabant, in Brussels and, for large collections and sets, anywhere in Belgium. Travel is free.

Is the appraisal free?

Yes. The appraisal is free and without obligation. You are free to accept the offer or not.

How does payment work?

If the offer suits you, the purchase is paid in cash, on the spot, at the time of the appraisal.

What do you buy?

Antiques, paintings, silverware, glassware, books and comics, stamps and postcards, old papers and newspapers, banknotes, coins and medals, antique toys, enamel signs, militaria, cameras and fine wines. See all areas of expertise.

Do I need many items to contact you?

No. A single item can justify an appointment, just like a whole collection or the contents of a house.

Can I send photos before the appointment?

Yes. A few photos sent by WhatsApp to +32 499 08 03 84 are often enough for a first opinion.

Do you buy gold and silver?

Yes. Jewellery, coins, bars and silverware are tested and weighed in front of you, then bought at the day’s rate. See Sell your gold and silver.

Do you handle house clearances?

Yes. After an estate, a departure or a move, JF Bastok and his team clear the house from cellar to attic. Valuable items are bought and deducted from the cost. See House clearance.

Where can I find you?

The office is at 29 drève de l’Infante, Waterloo. Visits by appointment only.
